This Sunday night at 7 p.m., we launch into a study/discussion on the Fruits of the Spirit. These are 9 guidelines to live by according to Paul in Galatians 5:22-23: Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, and Self-Control.
We will study one at a time in order beginning this week on "Love!" Bible verses that have this word include John 3:16, John 15:9, 1 John 4: 7-12 among others. The Bible has three types of love in the original language, the one most often quoted is "Agape" (pronounced ah-gah-pey). This is the meaning of the love of God unconditional, never ending love for the undeserved!
These discussions are led by St. Andrews member Jim Patton, include Holy Communion at the beginning if you weren't able to attend, and ends promptly at 8 p.m. It's a neat time of sharing, learning about God and God's Word, and getting to know each other and friends from the other congregation. There is no homework, and you may certainly come and go on any "givan" Sunday and you don't have to study ahead. Come and hang out!! Join us, invite a friend or family member!
