**Please note we had some audio issues this morning.**
All Saints Sunday is a special Sunday set aside to remember the saints who have gone before us.
Today we will list those names you turned in and offer up prayers as their names are read and prayed over. All of us grieve the loss of loved ones that have gone before us, and we know God is with them in Heaven. It was Martin Lutheran who said that we are all "saints and sinners at the same time!" It has also been said that every saint has a promised future and every sinner a forgiven past.
Our Gospel lesson in Matthew is the Beatitudes reminding us that all of us, no matter what we are going through, are blessed and loved by God. We can, indeed, "rejoice and be glad for our reward is great in heaven!" From our Revelation text we hear that our singing "Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom...will be to our God forever" The Psalmist says "taste and see that the Lord is good" which we will do in the Holy Supper.
We thank the saints who have gone before us for their love in our families, for their service to the Lord in this church community, and witness to the Gospel.
