Friends: Lent begins today! I hope and pray you can join your families of faith from both congregations for a Soup Supper at 6 and the service is at 7 p.m. Ashes and Holy Communion will be provided. These kinds of services are wonderful for inviting a friend or family member to come with you! See you tonight.
I mentioned Sunday that during Lent we are going on a retreat! When we retreat, we move away from the world. A cornerstone to the Lenten season is to move away from worldly activities and busy-ness. It's a time for prayer, worship and giving and serving our neighbor.
Our retreat will focus on Spiritual Gifts, and I invite you to download the attached form and fill it out to see how you are gifted by God for God's work among us. During the 4th week of Lent
TOP THREE THINGS TO KNOW FOR THIS FIRST WEEK OF MARCH!
1) Due to Ash Wednesday services, there will be no Wednesday night Bible study tonight. Starting Wed. March 6, we will review the first chapter of the book "Understanding Spiritual Gifts" along with study of the Gospel Lesson for the coming Sunday.
2) Download and fill out the attached Spiritual Gift inventory! It will bless your life and help you grow in awareness of Christ and the gifts God has "givan" you! You can also order the booklet called "Understanding Spiritual Gifts" from Precept Ministries. Please get a copy from wherever you buy books. Please note I have 2-3 copies if interested. We will study this book series on Sunday and Wednesday nights. 
3) Adult Education and Sunday School for all children begin up this Sunday, March 6, at 10 a.m. Reach out to Jennifer Baker for any questions or if you can help in any way.
