The Worship and Music Committee of St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church is a collection of people who have an interest in promoting and caring for the worship service experience at St. Andrew’s. It includes the Pastor, leaders of the vocal choir and bell choir, leaders of the Altar Guild (those who prepare the altar area for worship) and other parties interested in the church’s worship. The committee’s attention focuses on coordinating all facets of worship logistics so that all services move smoothly from beginning to end and facilitate a meaningful experience for all those in the congregation.
The committee’s areas of oversight include:
- Altar preparation
- Communion preparation
- Musical instrument care
- PA system care and configuration
- Appropriate music selection
- Ensuring special services (mid-week Lenten services, Christmas Eve, Holy Week services, contemporary style services)
are scheduled appropriately and are allocated sufficient resources
- Facilitate bulletin preparation
The committee’s goal is to ensure that every worship opportunity at St. Andrew’s gives glory to God and imparts a sense of hope
among God’s people as they prepare to act as His ministers to the world.
