Epiphany is a season of light — the revealing of Christ to the nations, the unveiling of His glory. As the season closes, we stand on the mountaintop with Peter, James, and John, beholding Jesus radiant in divine splendor. But the voice from the cloud reminds us: “Listen to Him.”
The journey from Epiphany to Lent is a movement from seeing to following. The light we’ve received is not meant to be admired from a distance but carried into the valleys of life — even into the shadow of the cross. Lent invites us to walk with Jesus into humility, repentance, and renewal, so that the light of Easter morning will shine all the brighter.
Lord Jesus, You have shown us Your glory and called us to follow You. As we leave the brightness of Epiphany and enter the solemn path of Lent, keep our eyes fixed on You. Let Your light guide us through repentance into the joy of resurrection. Amen.
