Friends:
"Weather" or not you are ready, this is the official beginning of summer! After Memorial Day and the 500 Mile race, summer begins!
Summer is designed to go at a slower pace and we are reminded to take it easy.
As we travel together in the Pentecost season we will look together at the "Fruits of the Spirit" from Galatians 5:22. I will lift up one fruit per week (not on June 9 due to Synod Assembly nor July 21 when the Bishop visits and we have a joint Worship service.)
The first one is no surprise, it's Love! I will be sending out in email a handout on Biblical "love" referring to some verses and concepts we can use as we go forward "bearing fruit". I will also have copies at church to pick up.
May our summer journey bear much fruit to our family, friends, and neighbors!
TOP 3 THINGS TO KNOW FOR THIS LAST WEEK OF MAY:
1) Please note on your Summer calendar our Joint Worship at Faith July 21, 10 A.M as we say "Thank you and blessed retirement" to our Bishop Gafkjen!
2) Please keep in your prayers Faith members Jim and Kim Orebaugh on the passing last week of her father, Henry, and Gil and Joyce Sams on the death in Christ of their daughter Chris. May the Lord bless both families.
3) Volunteers welcomed and needed with Laundry, Clothes Closet and Mat Making over the next week or two! Come and serve the Lord!
