Friends:

It's Sunday afternoon and I'm watching the Masters golf tournament. My mind goes back to my home where I grew up.
My Dad was a sports guy, and I remember coming in from playing on a beautiful day never quite understanding why he was inside! (A story for another time).
He would watch about any sport, but especially golf. Neither my dad, nor my brother and I, played very well! So it was fun to watch the pros play golf!
I wondered in this reflecting time where my mother was in the home on those days!  Sometimes she had gone to the grocery store to get our  "2 week supply" of food! Sometimes she'd be trimming the grass along the fence when her good friend and neighbor!
But often she'd be out back doing laundry. Hanging clothes on the laundry line as we did back in the day. I loved, loved that smell of the fresh bed sheets, or towels as the breeze dried the clothes. Such great memories, how about you?
What reflections do you have from time to time? Clothes lines are long gone from most homes unfortunately. The advent of the dryer took care of that in our homes!
The more things change all around us today, the more we need reminders that "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow!!" Hebrews 13:8.
