Friends:
I have a confession to make! I love the online retail giant called Amazon! I order from them every week various household items, or things I need for my life. I love to get a box on the doorstep and not remember exactly what I ordered! It's so exciting, like being a kid at Christmas time again!
Did you know we all get to open a gift every day, every morning?? We get 24 hours in the day ahead, every morning. When you multiply those times 7 we see that we all get a gift box of 168 hours a week! The trick is how do we use those hours?  We say often that we don't have time to read the Bible, pray or even go to church.

Our Bible says in Ecclesiastes 3: 1-8 "There is a time for everything under the sun.."

I am convinced it is not the "amount" of time, we have plenty. It is about the priority of that time! I use a formula accredited to Bob Bowman, coach to Olympic athlete Michael Phelps. He uses the "WIN" approach: What's Important Now. This gives you a way to prioritize the use of your time.

Throughout the day and week, ask yourself the "WIN" question and decide what is most important. You will find the "To do" list will get taken care of, chores can get done and all the rest of life easily falls into place with the WIN formula! Try it you'll like it!
TOP THREE THINGS TO KNOW FOR THIS WEEK OF AUGUST 14:
1) Remember Maui! Please pray for that island and all affected by the tragedy. Make a donation by going to our denomination's website at http://WWW.ELCA.ORG. There are multiple places to make donations.

2) The Laundry Ministry is our ministry to pray for this quarter. At this time, we are not sure if this ministry will be able to go forward. Funding and volunteers are needed. Please reach out to Rose Jones for questions.

3) Worship service time change, once again, per the Shared Ministry agreement, St. Andrews will move to 11 a.m. on September 3rd.
***Please pray for Dale Willman, entering into Comfort end of life care at Hendricks County Hospital. Remember Chris and the family as well.

God be with you until we meet again!
