Friends:
We have entered into the season of Advent, a word that means "waiting." We await the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ on Christmas Eve, and as we wait we walk together in this season. Each Sunday in Advent has a theme: Hope, Love, Joy, and Peace. These themes will be the focus of the hymnody, message, and the temple talk by a member of the Worship and Music Team. I hope and pray you picked up a copy of the Advent devotional booklets in church. There are a few left and I have a few with me, so just ask if you don't see one! You may certainly use the daily devotional booklets as well all located at church on the table in the lobby/narthex!
The Advent wreath is lit each week as we light the candles to remember the Messiah! It's circular nature reminds us of the never ending love of God for us always. The candles follow along with the respective theme, the third week of Advent candle is always pink. This reminds of the "Good News of Great Joy" spoken to the shepherds so long ago. May this "good news" be yours today and always. See you Sunday, bring a friend or neighbor!
TOP THREE THINGS TO KNOW FOR THE LAST WEEK OF NOVEMBER/FIRST OF DECEMBER:
1) Saturday, December 3rd, 10:30, Women's Christmas pitch in and white elephant gift exchange!
2) Sunday, Dec. 4th, NOISY OFFERING will be collected to benefit the laundry ministry! Bring your change, get rolls of quarters from your bank! All coins, paper, check and the like welcomed and will help us in this wonderful ministry.
3) Sunday, Dec. 11th, St. Andrews Christmas Pageant! All are welcomed to participate, practice will be Saturday the 10th at 10 a.m. A great opportunity to reach out and invite someone (neighbor, family member) to come and take part and celebrate our love for the Lord. Thanks to the "Pageant Team" working hard to put this together.
I stand by to listen, be present, assist you and yours in any way! Call, text, email as I answer promptly!
