There is a beautiful Bible verse in 2 Chronicles 7:14 that is appropriate for this day:
"If my people, called by my name, will humble themselves and seek my face, and turn from their sinful ways, I will hear from Heaven, and forgive their sins and heal their land."
We had a wonderful joint worship service for the 5th Sunday theme of "Stewardship of the Environment!" It was a great turnout and thanks to the many at Faith who helped host great food and drink.
We discussed many things in relationship to the environment in small groups led by Jim Patton. We had great speakers Debbie Hacker and Michael Steurer, also share. It's a good reminder for all of us to do our part to help God's creation. We thank God for hearing our cries to heal our land!
Join me in prayer for: both Councils and congregations, Happy Hill, St A, surgery Monday morning, Beverly Bailey, St A, knee surgery this week. Jeanine Smith had surgery last week, Jim and Estelle Boyd, Faith, health concerns, the Lee family as Dave's mother was laid to rest last Friday. Thank you God for hearing our prayers for these folks and others in need, in Jesus name. And all God's people said...Amen!!

TOP 3 THINGS TO KNOW FOR THIS FIRST WEEK OF AUGUST:
1) I really enjoyed my time off these last two weeks! Thanks to Pr. Heather for supplying and to Ed and Jim Patton for recording MWM'S!
2) Avon schools started back last week, Speedway schools this coming week. Let us pray for teachers, staff and students!! Be aware as you drive around of school busses and kids.
3) This Wednesday, August 3rd, the weekly Bible study continues at 7 p.m.! We take a deep dive into the Lessons for the coming Sunday. It is my belief this is an excellent practice to deepen your spirituality, and the Sunday worship experience!
All are welcomed, whether you've read ahead or not. The Zoom link gets sent out during the day Wednesday via email.
Call me if I can serve you or yours,
God bless you!
