Good morning (although you may be reading this in the evening hours)! Did you know there are two kinds of people in the world? Those who say “Good, God, it’s morning” and those who say “Good God, it’s morning!” Which one are you?? I know people who say they are not morning people, and I know some of you are early risers.
Sometimes as we get older we awake earlier and maybe can’t go back to sleep. Others don’t want to get up until late morning. In fact, I have it on good authority that one of 90 something retirement home persons loves to stay up all night! Then, even with permission from the staff, they sleep in all morning. As I said to this person, “When you are over 90, you can do what you want!”
Well, whichever way you approach your life in the morning, all of us will now adjust for another time change. This is not the clock changing, but the time of worship is changing. And, as I announced yesterday, if you really prefer a later or earlier time you are more than welcome to worship at one or the other churches. It’s okay (obviously, I have to say keep giving to your home congregation), and God still loves.
In fact, the good news is that God loves you no matter what you are like in the morning, the afternoon, and the evening!!!
Please keep Amanda Hunter and sister Heather Smith (members of St. A’s) and their family in your prayers as we lay their mother, Diana, to rest this afternoon. Please send cards to:
