“It is good, O Lord, for us to be here.” These words were uttered by Peter while on the mountain top of the Transfiguration of the Lord story (Mark 9: 2-8). Yesterday at both churches I could not help but feel the same thing. It is good, Lord, for us to be together in worship!

Even in the midst of the ongoing pandemic, we still come and we still gather and we wear our masks and we do our social distancing. And we partake in Holy Communion gathering around the Table, the Word and the Font. At Faith I noticed people looking outside and pointing. A herd of deer were making their way across our land out back. Turkeys showed up later (no reflection on any members).

At St. Andrew’s folks gathered with almost 30 in attendance, and when I sat down around 5 till it was 8 or 9!! Some came in, received their Communion and bulletins and went out to their car to listen in the parking lot! Again, it was good for us to be there in worship together. Again, at both churches.

I missed our gathering on April 11th due to vacation. Yesterday was proof once again, God is present, with us and the PEACE (a call back to the sermon theme) of Christ was with us. May that same peace, love and grace guide us this week!

Peace be with you all. Need to talk?? Overwhelmed, worried? Home, work issues? Reach out to me at cell or email or text!
