Christmas is all around us! I have a couple seasonal music stations on my satellite car radio, and I love it! I have always loved the music of the holidays ever since I was a young man. My early memories of Christmas are from elementary school putting on one of those plays for parents and family! I have begun to go through my Christmas decorations and deciding what can stay and what can be donated! It seems time to "hand down" the "hand-me-downs" to my children.

While the stores are fully decorated and the music plays overhead, we don't want to forget about Thanksgiving! Let us join Oprah in making a list every day of the 5 things for which we are thankful! She suggested everyday writing down 5 different things, and this practice can change our lives. In this season of Thanksgiving/Christmas/Corona/Elections and all the rest, keep the "reason for the season" top of mind. We are most thankful for Jesus, born again on Christmas night to save us from our sins and give new life into the old.

I am aware of the increase in Coronavirus cases in our state. The council discussed this, and the majority decided to stay open for services, to include the current precautions. We invite each of you to make your own best decision. If you are not comfortable attending with masks, social distancing, hand sanitizer, etc., then consider watching on Facebook or the website. You may also use the parking lot as listed above.

I stand by in your support. Call, text, or email me if there is a way I can serve you or your family.

Grace and Peace,
Pr. Doug
