Chapter 3: A Compassionate Heart

The author uses the healing touch of Jesus for a leper in Matthew 8. He talks about the healing touch we can bring one to another. Lucado also mentions there are many ways to “touch” someone else such as cards, notes, phone calls, text messages, etc. Jesus provides physical touch to this man who had not been touched in years. I would add the saying heard before, “We have two ears and one mouth!” We should be listening twice as much as we talk. And sometimes we might notice the difference between hearing and listening.
